SMS and Call Blocking

I love the SMS and Call Blocking feature, however I recently noticed a greyed out message displaying ‘SMS and Call Blocking does not work on your Andriod version 4.4.2’ which was acceptable until last week when I was updated to Android 4.4.3.

Now on 4.4.3 I am still seeing the same greyed out message being displayed and be flooded with nonsense marketing texts etc…

How can I get avast! to update so that it knows I am on 4.4.3 without having to uninstall reinstall and set it all up again?

Anyone else with the same issue?

I have a similar problem.

My call button (from Block incoming)is disabled.Other are enabled.

I have a LG Optimus G with Android 4.1.2(original from phone)

**UPDATE

My Nexus 5 updated to Android 4.4.4 last night yet I still have the same issue with SMS blocking not “available for Android version 4.4.2”…

Tried uninstalling and reinstalled the app but same thing and now I have to start re-adding all those bloody number I had in the blocklist again when I receive their texts etc >:(

I found on avast forum that on LG official firmware don’t work this feature(important) of avast.

Anyway, I installed CleanMaster security, and, in this application call blocking worked it :o

Conclusion: This is an Avast issue not LG issue >:( . Am I correct ? If yes, Avast is aware of it? Intends to fix it ? When?
My intention is to use one security solution, not more.

Looking forward for an answer(competent).

Hi,

call blocking didn’t work on LG 2.x so that’s why there is the message. If it does work or not on 4.x I unfortunately have no idea. SMS blocking doesn’t work on any 4.4+ devices no matter the manufacturer.

OK. You still didn’t tell me what device exactly do you use. Specifically device type and OS version.

As I said, it doesn’t work on LG devices with OS version 2.x. If you have 4.x, I’d have to get my hands on some LG 4.x device (the more the better) to be able to verify if it works or not.

I wouldn’t hope for a “fix” soon. If it comes, it’ll be probably later due to reasons stated above.

No, only LG devices are the suspects for the non-working call blocking. SMS blocking doesn’t work on 4.4 and up.

wrong.Avast has a problem on LG devices, since other security solutions works very well(as already say before).
