SMS Commands sent to phone, {pin} locate

I have been reading through all the different comments on this subject but still have not found an answer.

ISSUE:
When I send an SMS command to my phone, Example: 2222 locate, my phone shows the message (PIN and command) and does not hide or suppress it. If my phone had been lost or stolen, then who ever finds it can see the PIN to disable Avast.

I have not enabled Handcent as the default messaging app within its own settings. Also, I know it not an issue with Handcent because when I send a similar command to my phone and is received by my other anti-theft app (SeekDroid) the SMS message is suppressed. Why is Avast not able to suppress the SMS?

Hi,

if there are more apps with the highest SMS priority, the exact order of the SMS delivery is not known (at least to me). I have heard talks of being it by app install time (oldest first) or just completely random (although it seems to be stable once established). I have tried it by experiment and didn’t found any consistent behavior across different devices.

My ‘lost’ phone doesn’t show any sms received or sent when I test with LOCATE or LOCATE 2 from another phone.
