I have my SMS Filter set to block incoming SMS with Hidden numbers and Unknown numbers. It was working fine but 2 days ago it let a text come thru from my provider. Today, another text came thru. They were from different numbers…both just 5 digit numbers. I updated avast this morning before the 2nd SMS came thru so today’s update didn’t fix what ever is happening here.

no. I suggest you enable debug logging (tap 5 times on the version area in Settings-About) and when another text goes through again, send feedback (the sooner the better) via Settings-About-Send feedback and post the ticked ID you get to your email inbox here. I’ll take a look at the logs.

It could be a long time before another text comes in. What negative effects will debug logging have leaving it on for a very long time?
Your phone/AMS might get a tiny little bit slower and/or battery might deplete a bit faster (I personally don’t notice it at all and I have it always on). Otherwise nothing.
