SMTP Alert error 00002AF

Hi everyu body, The Avast client is setup to send mail when a virus is detected. But I doesn’t work. In admn console Client Event log I get SMTP error : 00002AF9 from the client where the virus has been detected. It seemd client tries to send the emial but it doesn’t work. In the alert settings in the ADNM It works fine when I test the alert settings from the resident task. (I receive the test email correctly) Any idea to solve the problem ?

Welcome to the avast forum,

Frankly speaking i am not sure what is the main problem of the ADNM services,

But to make sure, please verify again what is your mail services using in your environment since avast can sent alert either with SMTP and IMAP. Sometimes you should insert your mail account and password in SMTP Server fields if your company only activate SMTP services without IMAP.
