SMTP not working through Outlook

Hi, I have been working for months with Qwest and MSN Partners trying to get my POP3 account to ‘Send’ E-Mails through Outlook. The last contact with Qwest we found that if I turned off avast, the system worked. I have read Forum, and there similar threads, but they are not detailed enough for me to understand.

I’m not sure what the blue avast Ooulook plugin splash is. So I must not have? \

I went into: Outlook 2003 > Help > About > Disabled items. and I’m not sure what I am looking for. there is one item: An addin for avast, ashoutxt.dll. When i highlight it, it asks if I want to enable it.

Sorry I don’t use Outlook, but if there is an addin labelled avast I would enable it as it shouldn’t be disabled. Why it was disabled is the mystery.

So… is it working now after you enable the avast addin?
