SMTP: relaying not allowed (since 4.5.523)

Hello, since yesterday with new version 4.5.523 I have problem with
sending mails via avast server - ‘relaying not allowed’ !!!
Greetings-T.Slaw

Example:

Nie można wysłać wiadomości, ponieważ jeden z odbiorców został odrzucony przez serwer. Odrzucony adres e-mail to: „ewiwo2@pf.pl”. Temat 'pk ', Konto: ‘gazeta.pl’, Serwer: ‘127.0.0.1’, Protokół: SMTP, Odpowiedź serwera: ‘530 5.7.1 Relaying not allowed: ewiwo2@pf.pl’, Port: 25, Zabezpieczenie (SSL): Nie, Błąd serwera: 530, Numer błędu: 0x800CCC79

Well, I may be wrong - but doesn’t it rather mean that the SMTP server policy has changed? (not to allow relaying, or requiring authentication to do that)

Thank you for answer,but :

  • I have 5 mail accounts, problem is the same for everyone of them,
  • when I send mail directly to SMTP server (without antyvir checking) it’s ok , it goes!

If you have a NT based system, setup the mail accounts as if Avast isn’t there. Does this solve the problem?

No… Computers without avast could authenticate the server without trouble.
I can’t send emails now in the accounts which needs authentication

Hello,

The same problem is in JP. (A user (Win98SE) posted on my web, so I made sure of it.)

Inserted “AutoRedirect=0” into [MailScanner], and ran Mail Protection Wizard on my XP SP2. Then configuration of the mailer, EdMax, was made correctly.
The mailer couldn’t send mails with error message “500 Command unrecognized” although receiving mails is no problem.
