If only all the younger generations knew where the exposed boxer shorts originated it might make them think twice, It originated in the prison systems as a means to display that one was available for the other homosexuals, with that information I certainly would be pulling my pants up ;D

Whoops! That’s not really something I needed to know.
Make sure you have a zipper attachment to your front door Craig, otherwise you’ll leave out in the opening ;D ;D

Great, so very good follow up clips after that video. I love flying.
Being in a helicopter (military lynx) when they start throwing it about is unbelievable.

yea, i have had a helicopter tour also, was at work on some remote power plant up on a mountain and we used a Eurocopter AS350. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurocopter_AS350

Just amazing flying with the Red Bull. Impressive flying skills by the pilot. Only way to to a rollover I can see is to zero the pitch of the four blades that support the weight of the entire aircraft when upside down, as I see nil loss in altitude at that point. Airbag, anyone?

I hate flying, especially the takeoffs and landings. I’m white knuckled the whole time and can’t sleep or even read anything. Helicopters are even worse, they tilt over and you look out and there are no wings.
It’s always the landing that will get you

I have had several thousand more take-offs than landings ;D
Cuts out the two most dangerous times take-off and landing. Mind you as an instructor that was pretty much cancelled out as going up to despatch static line students as I wouldn’t be jumping but landing for another load.
Flying is statistically very safe, I even started gliding (up to solo pilot) as many of the parachute clubs I jumped at had Glider clubs at or close to the drop zone. That really is much more interesting, winch/cable launch (wow), aero tow and car tow (by comparison, somewhere between the other two, much slower). Never managed to get a Bungee launch though.

I think you meant: It's always the (uncontrolled) landings that will get you. :)
After clocking up 3500 hours in helicopters that looked like fun to me

Where ?
I had a posting at 71 Aircraft Workshop REME at Detmold, Germany.
I was also display team leader for REME Parachute Team, we had a close association with Army Air Corps team and also used their aircraft for displays, happy days ;D

Forget about sky diving. I’m not jumping out of any plane that still has the wings on it. I have a serious issue with heights anyway. I don’t even like ladders that have more than 3 rungs.

There are many people who don’t particularly like heights (like up a ladder, etc.) have no problem with the heights related to skydiving.
Funny you should say that but I hate ladders, yet had no qualms dangling 60 feet below a Seaking on a little bit of wire go figure

Yeah sure and how come we can’t see a real UFO right before our very eyes up real close and where are the little green men, otherwise I believe NASA have been smoking way to much green weed and no wonder their bloody brains have been stone hard as a bloody red rock like Mars or eating way to much Mars Bar ;D
