SOA computer group settings not propogating to clients

As of this past Sunday, avast is throwing false positives on one of our database applications…so in the SOA I edit the group settings, shield settings, exclusions to exclude the the folder where the application files are located ( C:\Program Files (x86)\application* ), but it’s not pushing this setting to the clients…instead I have to visit each client and manually adjust the exclusions, which according to the guide will be overwritten by the settings from the SOA, but that’s not happening either.

The guide also says that if you move a computer into a different group the settings from that group will be immediately in effect on that client - NOT happening either.

What could be the cause. The clients get updates from the SOA regularly and everything else appears to function normally, but this is a real pain in the neck to have to visit every computer on the domain to adjust the exclusions. Kind of defeats the purpose of using the SOA altogether!

What’s the status of these PC’s in the management console? Are they green/yellow/red?

Status shows green checkmark.

For the avast! Small Office Administration console:

Global File Exclusion: Global File Exclusion: C:\Program Files\Infinity*;Infinity

To find global exclusions in SOA, go to Network, Group view and choose the desired group. Edit group settings, Expert settings, and I’ll take the risk:

For Expert settings, the Property path is listed in alphabetical order. Global exclusions are about 1/3 down through the list. Enter your exclusions by clicking on the Value field, and don’t forget to SAVE! These values will now be pushed to all managed systems within that group!
