SOA issues - Incredibly high RAM | errors ....

Hi community,

We have had Avast SOA in our business environment for 2 years or so.

Recently we have had a few issues.

Firstly and probably most importantly after a while, the process avast.sbc.service uses up an incredible amount of memory, normally 6GBs worth. This slows the whole server down, we can kill the process which will resolve the speed and high RAM and then it will slowly creep up after x amount of time.

Secondly, whenever you log onto SOA you are presented with an error pop up which says:

Unable to loan content: 7005 An error has occurred. [Line:31 Position: 113]

I imagine this some sort of information it is trying to pull from somewhere to display on the current page (Summary) any assistance or insight on this would be appreciated.

SOA version is 1.3.3.42

Thanks for reading.

What’s the Database size of Avast Small Office Administration?

Regarding the error: it seems to be some content that the SOA doesn’t find, but it also seems to appear when your license file is expiring.

Hi Avosec,

What is the file path where I can view the database size?

I’m confused in regards to the license file expiring, our license is due to run out in 2017.

I look forward to your response. This high RAM usage is causing the server to become unstable and unusable.

The filepath is C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Administration Console.

Hi,

Thanks for that, our db.sdf is 25.7MB I’m not sure what’s a good size but it doesn’t seem incredibly too large?
