SOA Quick Scan: Actions

Hi,

If I initiate a “Quick Scan” on a client machine, the system will send me an email if a virus is discovered. However, does the currently logged in user see any notification at their workstation?

I ask this because avast! never seems to take any action in terms of trying to remove the offending file. I am using SOA and there are settings within Jobs => Quick Scan => Actions for Viruses; PUP and Suspicious Files. However, the “Automatically apply actions during scan” is NOT checked, so how do I know what the default actions are?

What are the recommended settings for automatic actions?

BTW, ticking the “Automatically apply actions during scan” would appear to reveal that the defaul action is “No Action”. Can anyone clarify the purpose of “No Action”?
