SOA without server protection

Can we manage Enpoint Protection clients with SOA, without buying server protection? We want to buy only endpoint protection licenses (for workstations) and manage them from server with SOA installed (server protection is unnecessary).

Yes, it’s should possible.
I suggest to you to try to install the SOA console first on one client with the trial, prior to buy all the licenses

Thanks for replay.

Now SOA is installed on workstation with Windows 7 OS and I can manage antivirus in other workstations.
But there is another problem:
“Connection to the server was lost. This could be due to inactivity or network problems.”

I’m getting this error message without an obvious reason. It can’t be inactivity, because I get this error while interacting with SOA GUI. Network problems are also unlikely, because SOA is installed on the same workstation, from which i’m accessing it.

After receiving this error, I can reconnect and work for another couple of minutes until I’m disconnected again.

Any suggestions?
