Ever since the 2017 update, Software Updater has had a blank page. I’ve tried repairing with no luck.

Avast Free 17.4.2294 (build 17.4.3482.0)
Win 10 Home 1607 (build 14393.1066)
Perform a clean installation of the latest avast version and check if the problem is solved.
Nope. Even with the cleanup tool. Software Updater says updating list then it’s blank.
Give the clean installation another try.
- Remove avast through “control panel”
- Run avastclear
- Remove all remnants manually
- Reboot
- Install the latest avast version with the off-line installer
If that doesn’t solve it, I suggest to create/submit a support package to avast and ask them to have a look.

Tried the clean install again, no success.
Created a ticket, added a reply with the support file ID. Got a reply within an hour saying:
We’re sorry, but we can’t seem to find a record of your license in our system.
Reiterated that it is the free version. No reply in 3 days.
avast doesn’t give support for the free products through the ticket system.
