Avast’s Software Updater refuses to remember programs I’ve set to Ignore and keeps bugging me about updating them every few hours/days. I’ve tried the database reset option and it didn’t solve anything. I’ve been using Avast for years and never had this problem until recently. This has been happening for a couple of months (so it’s not an issue with the latest version). I couldn’t find anyone else with this problem. If there’s no way to fix it I’ll just uninstall the Software Updater.
Hazerider22, how to you ignore these products exactly? To really ignore you have to open the UI and click the ignore link:
Scan → Scan for outdated Software
Now click “Ignore Updates” in case you want to ignore updates for a specific product.
NOTE: I would recommend not to ignore updates especially for Flash, Java and the browsers as they usually fix security issues. Not updating them makes your PC more vulnerable to attacks.

I know. That’s exactly what I do, the setting just resets itself after a few hours or days.
