Software Updater in Avast free in Win 11 shows Microsoft Edge needs to be restarted. Restarted Edge (and computer) many times but it is still showing “sutck”.

Uninstall Software Updater in Avast free, its a bug.

For those that are unaware of the location of the Software Updater - it is within the CleanUp module - in Avast Free.

Unfortunately for me and some others there was no graceful way to simply disable or uninstall the Software Updater.

I had to disable the CleanUp module, personally in all honesty I have no desire for a tool to autonomously CleanUp ‘my system’. I’m a trusting sort NOT.
