Software Updater is bugged

I was using Avast 2014.9.0.2016 and updated to 2014.9.0.2018 with hope that this problem would be fixed, but it’s not.

When I click to update uTorrent (current user) nothing happens, although a uTorrent.exe file is at C:\Windows\Temp\avast_ash\uTorrent (current user). I tried deleting this temporary avast folder, restarting the computer and trying again but that didn’t solve the issue.

When I click to update Foxit Reader it leads me to download.com where it offers the download of the English setup file although my system and Avast are set to Portuguese (Brazil) in all levels since ever (one of the problems I reported before here).

I use Windows 8.1 with many settings in default/recommended (e.g. UAC).

You should update those programs yourself and that’ll keep the software updater happy.

So you’re telling me that essentially the software Avast develops is crap and I shouldn’t care about it? What an useful reply…
