avast! Software Updater shows me Java installed twice: once for 32 bit and once for 54 bit. It says the 64-bit isn’t updated…but when I try to get the update it seems to get the same package as or 32-bit Java. Upon installing that, Java says I’m already up to date. Back to avast! Software Updater and it still says the 64-bit Java is out of date.
I launched IE and went an manually installed 64-bit Java. Software Updater didn’t do it correctly.
Perhaps this might work. Disable Software updater. Uninstall Java. Enable Software Updater and see what it comes up, if it looks okay. Go ahead and install Java
I have got the same problem !
if i try to install java update, windows tell me that is it already installed
Unless you “absolutely” need it uninstall Java. It’s well known to be easily exploited.
I haven’t had Java for a long time. None of the sites I visit use Java.
For me, Java is only useful for some Android apps running in PC. Unfortunately, it’s necessary for online banking in my country…
