Hello everyone, I have some programs to update with the new update, but AVAST shows the risk level as unknown. Why doesn’t it show any risk since it hasn’t been updated for a few days?
Hey everyone, it’s been another day, and Avast still lists the risk level as unknown.
Why is it listed as unknown? There should already be some verdict on this risk, as it always does with other programs when they’re out of date.
Does anyone know why it’s still listed as unknown?
These two programs appear here for update, but I don’t have them installed on my machine.
Why does Avast keep showing them?
Hello everyone, if you follow my post, there are several points that need to be analyzed.
The point I’m talking about is that I just checked Avast and it now shows that the risk level is high.
My question is, why wasn’t the risk level shown as high at first? As the image below shows, unlike the post I made in this topic?
Hello everyone, I’m trying to update VMware Workstation to a newer version, and Avast says it failed, as the image shows, does anyone know why?
I don’t believe anyone viewing this will have any idea why it failed.
I certainly don’t use the Avast Software Update function as I only have Avast Free.
Does the Update work from the program itself ?
I ended up trying to do it through the program itself, trying to update and it doesn’t work. I will be putting the image of the error that is occurring here below.
I’d like to know for sure, but I have a few questions. Could the server link have been removed?
If that’s true, will Avast adjust to the new link so it doesn’t keep giving this error?
So this wasn’t entirely an Avast issue - if you can’t update via the program - I would say that is even more serious.
At the very least the software company should be responsible to handle such things, e.g. if they change the download location. When the program lands on a redundant link they (the company) should redirect to the correct/new link.
I guess Avast would eventually get the new link, but this really is down to the company and should be reported to them.
But look closer at your own screenshot Connection Status: Disconnected - Software update preference is set not to check for upd. Why that is I have no idea.
It seems a broadcom issue; Avast can’t fix it unless Broadcom does.
I was trying to figure out how to update manually, but it didn’t work either automatically or manually.
I think it’s like you said above in the post: Avast might have a new link, but that depends on the company.
I see that I have to go to the official website and download and install this version over it to update.
Anyway, thanks for the clarification.
Hugs.
Hello my friend, thank you for sending me the link you are reading to understand.
Hugs.
