The software Updater shows the Opera browser 43.0.2.442.1144 as requiring updating, it says new version is 43.0.
When I go to Opera it shows as the longer number version being the most up-to-date.
Is this a bug or is it due to the way that Opera are numbering their update versions?

Full offline setup file at opera is showing version 43.0.2442.1144 as latest stable version available same as avast is reporting as needing to be updated.
It would seem since both avast and opera are reporting the same version numbers on my system it would be safe to ignore.
Version number you report might be a typo.
In the about opera section within the browser itself gives the longer numbered version I gave as being current, so I’m confused.

Re possible typo see attached below:
Version 43.0.2442.1144 (PGO) Opera is up to date.
Update Stream: Stable
System: Windows 7 32-bit
The above info shows as the version information within the browser.

I’d go with what Opera says is the latest up to date information.
Yeah, thought I’d bring it up though being that the updater will require to ignore this update.

I’d just leave Software Updater alone and wait to see if it gets fixed later.
Why do you think Avast software updater is picking it out requiring an update?
