Hello avast community. Well, i am comming here today because i recently installed avast 5 and webshield seems to block IE8/firefox from loading webpages. For realtime protection I am using windows 7 firewall control and iobit secuirty 360 alongside avast 5 free edition. I previously had AVG and i completely removed the program with the avg uninstaller. I am using a Toshiba satellite L455 on a updated windows 7 64 bit operationg system. I believe my system is very clean and maleware free. I have scanned with clamWin, malwarebytes, and superantispyware. From researching this problem i understand that this issue may be connected to my firewall. However, i allowed all connections for avast antivirus, avast service, avast update, aswregsvr.exe, and aswregsvr64.exe with no success. I am not sure if the following information will help out or not but i also have steam installed. The steam program connects and updates normally but when i try to login it can’t login and connect my account to the steam servers. Maybe the two problems are connected? I don’t know what else to say, ever other program besides those two connect just fine. Can anyone please help me fix this webshield issue? Thanks!
was your Toshiba satellite L455 delivered wit a preinstalled AV program ?
have you uninstalled it ?
did you run a removal tool after the uninstall so all leftovers are gone ?
you can find removal tool here http://uninstallers.blogspot.com/
