[SOLVED] Avast Free AV: Software updater stops working

First I had a problem when using Software Updater for only Mozilla Thunderbird.
Now the Software Updater doesn’t work anyhow. Only a green circle is turning around.

Repair Avast:

  1. Avast GUI → Settings → Troubleshooting
  2. Click on ‘REPAIR APP’.
  3. Follow instructions.
  4. Reboot.
