Hello
So I can’t setup Avast Free Windows 7 x64. Here is the log:
27.01.2015 18:03:25.138 1732 | error: TypeLib(Un)Register C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\ng\vbox\VBoxC.dll, error 0x8002801c
27.01.2015 18:03:25.180 1732 | CmdAvastUninstallWrapper done
I’ve tried:
to launch setup as administrator. It doesn’t work.
to register VBoxC.dll manually (by copying VBoxC.dll to C:\Windows\SysWOW64) It doesn’t work.
to uncheck box NG service during installation process. It doesn’t work.
How to install it? Please help!

have you removed previous used or factory installed AV before trying to install?
General: Uninstalling a third-party antivirus software https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB11#artTitle

Time to do a CLEAN un/re-install…look at my signature for How-To.
Definitely choose CUSTOM during installer and uncheck NG in Tools.
If you want to run FRST64 and post log we can see if other old AV or conflicting software is on machine.

Do you have Windows System Restore enabled ?

There isn’t and there wasn’t any AV here. It is newly installed Windows 7 x64 . Only drivers and Firefox.
Unchecking NG in Tools doesn’t help as I already wrote.
System Restore is enabled.
By the way on my other pcs with newly installed Windows 7 x32 (plus drivers and Firefox) Avast was set up w/o any problems.

OK…if it was me I’d run Avastclear, then CCleaner on registry, download the Avast FREE OFFLINE download, try to install and use CUSTOM, uncheck NG in Tools.

thekochs, thanks a lot!!!
Now it is installed.
I did:
Avastclear in safe mode.
Avast free offline. Common setup.
Now I have Avast! And even with NG service! Thank You once again!
