(Solved) Corrupted Downloads

The title describes the problem.
??? I’m getting a lot of these lately. ???
Sometimes the only fix is to disable the shields.
Checking the files after the completed download shows them as clean.
Running the latest beta version of Avast 2015.10.2.2215

Don’t you mean the latest RC instead of beta ?

RC that feels like a beta. The problem still persist:frowning:

Is this on your win10 system? I have no corruption issues on my 8.1 systems

Windows 8.1.

No problems on XP either.

Here’s just one example:

Bob, did you try a clean reinstall yet…!?

Since you asked, NO but guess it’s probably the next thing to try.
Will post back when that’s done and I’ve again tried this same download.

OK, awaiting your reply…

A clean install of Avast seems to have solved this problem.
The download of the earlier mentioned program went off without a hitch after
the clean install.
For a video of the Clean install process, take a look at:

Sounds good, glad you got it solved.

I haven’t faced this issue at all since using Avast 7 (back then used on Windows Vista) - present (Windows 7 SP1) with latest version of Avast Free :D. Glad you got it solved. Hope you report this to Avast so etc users won’t face this issue in the future.

I think I’ve been here long enough to know what to report and what doesn’t need reporting.
Avast also looks at these forums and is most likely aware of what’s in this thread.
