:-X
Well, I have recently upgraded from Avast! 4.5 to Avast! 5 and after running a scan Avast! 5 found a virus I am guessing it is since its a high level threat.
Its a HTML:Script-inf
files infected are[color=red] [b]*PROCESS\c14\avgnsa.exe\1ec0000\1cb000which I figured was AVG’s Linkscanner >:((I have AVG 9 installed also)
and also *PROCESS\164c\firefox.exe\6be5000\db000 is infected. ???
Everytime I try to apply ANY action after the scan nothing happens and the results dont go away i have to click
Is this a false positive or is it the virus in disguise or are the files just infected with HTML:Script-inf
P.S. I cannot Boot-Scan because my OS is windows 7 64-bit.
-Thanks in advance if i receive any help.
It’s likely Avast! and AVG are interfering with each other; I’ve seen this happen countless times, although I don’t recall seeing any Avast!-AVG conflicts before.
Try uninstalling AVG and see if your problem goes away.
These *PROCESS.….…\ are detections in memory and they aren’t encrypted in the case of AVG (as has been said having two resident AVs is asking for conflicts).
The one for firefox, is a bit strange though if it is loading an infected html file, possibly from the browser cache. Clear the browser cache.
