HI I would like someone to check my computer for me because lately I did get a blue screen one day this week and sometimes my computer will freeze for no reason and then all of a sudden it will un freeze. Sometimes also when I double click on an application or my browser google chrome it will take several mintues for it to open and launch my homepage. I think have avast 2014 might be the source of most of these problems but I would like to make sure ok. here are the otl log, the aswMBR log below: I did run malwarebytes but nothing came up in the quick scan at all.

I see that you have run Hitmanpro… What did it delete ?

HI just use hitman pro has a second option to detect anything sometimes it find cookies and I delete them. It did not find any thing bad though Essexboy

Nothing is evident is it just the freezing now ?

The exact error on the bsod could help a lot.
Have you run memtest already?
Have you run the drive diagnostic util from the manufacturer?
Have you run any other test utils?

hI no I have not run memtest what drive diagnostic util from the manufacturer are you talking about I have not run it explain what you are taling about please. I have not run any other utilty’s of any kind.

HI the computer does not always freeze sometimes it does though it does not always freeze all the time though it just made me wonder if something was happening thats all. I just thought I better check to make sure I do not have a virus on my computer Essexboy

Actually, you don’t have a virus or malware. Good for you.

essexboy says that is true.

Eddy is very good with the hardware stuff, so I’d wait to follow along with what he says. Since it is not viruses or malware, it most likely has to do with the hardware (memory, hard drive, cpu, etc., not to scare you, tho). Find the culprit and your issues are pretty much over.

He needs you to write down exactly what the bluescreen says and post it here if it happens again.

How old is your system? Is it a laptop? What operating system are you running? When was the last time you’ve used canned air to blow out the dust inside?

HI I was going to ask what parts of the blue screen should I write down witch details are most valuable. My Windows Vista desktop I got it in 2007 I have stuff that was made in 2007 on this desktop computer. I used a can of air a couple months ago.

Actually, the first and second line that describes the error and the full numbering copied exactly is enough.

Let it run overnight so it can do a couple of full passes.

Unzip it, and create a bootable cd with the iso.

HI Eddy I must tell you something I have never download or burned an iso file to cd before. I also have never gone into the boot menu before and switched stuff so that my cd drive will boot first is their any risk to doing this at all.

I was wondering does Memtest comes as a free application as well for windows Vista. I much more comfortable doing this.

There is no risk in changing the boot sequence at all.

HI Eddy did download the imburn software and installed it and burned the memtest Iso to a cd but here is my issue I am not sure witch key to push to go into the boot menu. I am also not sure how do I switch the order around so that I can put the cd rom drive first or second. What color is the boot menu is it a blue color. I am on Windows Vista.
