[SOLVED]Microsoft Edge locked up milkystory.services

My dad opened his browser and clicked on something from Facebook or maybe MSN.

It came up with a message and login screen and locks all other tabs.

It says:

"The server milkystory.services is asking for your user name and password. The server reports that it is from suspicious activity detected on your computer. Call toll free now.

Then a bunch more stuff.

User name
password"

I was using only Window’s defender. I added Avast back in and all is fine and malwarebyte’s says it’s clean as well.

Attaching reports:

It said I could upload 4 files and the sticky said there were only three reports, so I added a jpeg of the error message for milkystory.services.

But Edge is locked up and I can’t do anything. I close the popup and it comes back and I can’t switch tabs.

I don’t see antything malicious in logs. That was just scareware ad.

Well edge is part of the windows OS, that’s why this happened.

I fired it up to run the command and launched Edge first and it came up, but in the background I see MS has marked it as suspicious and blocked it. I canceled the popup and all is well again.
