Forwarding this for an user in the German section…

Have you/he uploaded the sample?
They cant add detection from a VT scan :
Well, afaik VT shares the data with avast.
asyn
yes but not every day, and as i understand they come in big files with thousands of samples in
Well, I’m in no hurry, Pondus.
I already waited for two days and posted it because I was asked to do so.
It’s got a low severity level anyway…

Hi Asyn and Pondus,
It might be a good idea to forward the ThreatExpert and the Prevx info from the specific virustotal link directly to avast:
http://info.prevx.com/aboutprogramtext.asp?PX5=6EF2492F00D5805D8C4D27CE191E800094872E30
http://www.threatexpert.com/report.aspx?md5=fd619c2694fa0fbfb4e5dd7d127d0649
That would help avast detection. Anyway they read the postings here in the virus and worms section also, as I have experienced that after reporting a non-detected malware the detection always followed soon after. In that case you can add SOLVED to the Thread Subject. When newcomers will read a lot of SOLVED issues following a subject, this certainly will make them happy and more confident, which will greatly help the avast cause,
