I tried the FREE trial of SecureLine VPN last November 17, 2017 with the order id 31143730262.
And just yesterday (December 16, 2017), I received an email from DigitalRiver that they automatically deduct ₱1,320.00 from me. However, I did not want to renew my SecureLine VPN since I do not have plan on using it anymore. I am not aware of the automatic renewal settings of avast.
And FYI, I also did not receive any license file from you guys in my email.
I already send you guys a ticket to ask for a refund. Here’s the details:
Take a look here: https://support.avast.com/en-us/article/24/(Orders and Renewals - FAQs)
You’ll find all the informations needed at “What is the refund policy for Avast products?” and “How can I request a refund?”
When we activate a “free trial”, we have to put our credit card informations. Then, we get a Avast License and the “Auto Renewal” option is always on.
To turn off this option and avoid being deducted, we have to access https://my.avast.com/en-us/#licenses and click on “Cancel Auto-renewal” option.
Yes, that’s exactly what I did, however, I am not aware of this automatic subscription if the free trial ends. That’s why I am asking for a refund since I do not really have a plan to buy it. I am still waiting for the avast team if they can refund it or not.
BTW, thanks for showing me on how to disable the auto renewal.
