I have a slightly banal question. Today I noticed that the notification popup from Avast that indicates successful definition updates looked different. Normally one would have a two-part popup with a grey part on the right hand side, and the avast emblem there, and the indication of the update version number and the date.
My update popup today was just a plain green background with white letters saying “popup successful” nothing else. Not even the name avast, so almost completely blank. Unfortunately there was no time to take a screenshot.

have you rebooted since it happend?
if not, right click avast tray icon, show last popup.... click pin in top right corner, this will pin it to screen
take screenshot
thank you sooo much a) for your quick reply and b) for that trick with right clicking.
No havent rebooted, everything happened just 10 minutes ago. I did the rightclick thing and it shows me the proper popup with emblem and right date etc.
But I am 110% positive that upon the update the popup was messed up.
The first one is the newer one. This is what I get when the update is actually done. The more elaborate one, which I used to get always, now only comes up if I rightclick and choose to “Show Last Popup” via UI.
So is this normal behavior?
I did quick scans with both Avast and MBAM; everything came out clean. Also I am very cautious when online and never had any security problems.
