Can someone please answer this question for me. When restoring files from the chest should or does the Avast 5 program confirm that the action has taken place? I tried it today after scanning the files in the chest that now show no virus found, (presume false positive has been fixed) it just flashed and nothing else happened so I don’t know if they were restored or not for sure!
Don`t think so, you should see that the file is back to its original location and a copy will remain in virus chest
Thanks for reply and also the information about the copy remaining in the chest. I am a new user of Avast so still finding my feet around it and never had to deal with a F/P before now.
I did check and it appears that they were restored ok, but a notification from Avast that the restore had worked, would be a nice addition to a fine program.
