You’d have to stretch the “error” column so that we can actually see the whole error, which will also probably explain why.
how i can stretch it?
ok here i did. see below plz…
Well I don’t know why it would through up that error, it is a bit strange as it is a windows file system error and not an avast specific error. So I don’t know if there is a particular problem with the BIT??.tmp files that are in these Software Distribution, Downloaded files, but for some reason it appears to be trying to look further into the file (the |>sfx*. part) when it encounters the end of file.
Personally I don’t believe it is something to be overly concerned about.
Have you been updating video card drivers, etc. (my guestimate on the sfx reference) ?
no i dont updating video card drivers,
my update is only for avast and firewall is set to automatic update
why avast show me that some files not scanned?wat will be the problem?
Files that can’t be scanned are just that, not an indication they are suspicious/infected, just unable to be scanned.
By examining 1) the reason given by avast! for not being able to scan the files, 2) the location of the files, you can get an idea of what program they relate to. You may need to expand the column headings to see all the text.
That was just a guess on my part as sfx is also known as a graphics card manufacturer.
As Tech said avast reports all files that can’t be scanned, many AVs won’t tell you what can’t be scanned.
There really is nothing that you can do or need to do.
tech said that file is suspicious/infected
so wat i do to fix it?
any way to fix?
No he didn’t, see highlighted quote below. He said that a file isn’t considered suspicious/infected just because it can’t be scanned.
tech said that file is suspicious/infected
No, I’ve said “don’t worry”.
thanks david and tech.
but is there any way to fix those files so that avast does not shows that error msg?
i want to fix those files.
i tried Auslogics Disk Defrag then also it dont works.
thanks david and tech.

There is nothing to fix. You can remove “Hard errors” from the report. But, really, who cares. It’s just a report.

There is ABSOLUTELY nothing related to defragmentation.
if avast showing that some files could not be scanned, is avast keep scanning other files after those files which could not be scanned?
does it scans other files which can be scanned? or it stops at files which could not be scanned?
No worries there. The scan will pass over those that cannot be scanned, mark them, and continue on to finish. It does not interrupt anything.
ok thank you. i got it. :
No problem.
Relax and enjoy
Did you try right clicking on each individual file and try to rescan them individually?..Like when you open the error files in avast scan right click on them and see if you can rescan them…luck
