just download trial and did a scan and got the following files couldnt be scanned, what do i do with them
is this a concern?
They are just reports that Avast is unable to scan those files and are of no concern
thanks
any reason they cant be scanned or doesnt matter
They are either corrupted or password protected. If they are opened then Avast will be able to scan them as they are accessed so you are covered
in your case it seems to be a … files not found reason
this error is is usually gone if you reboot and scan again
some files could not be scanned … is asked at least once a week so plenty info if you forum search
appreciate the reply
got it again when scanning?
Don’t worry, i receive it every time when i do a full scan and one time even while quick scan was running. Again, there is nothing to worry about.
cheers dude
Although there might not be anything wrong with it like you say it is still very annoying. I don’t know what has changed recently but I never used to get these warnings. Now I get them almost every time I do a scan. It would be nice to be able to turn these off.
Now I get them almost every time I do a scan.if you take a screenshot...we may be able to tell you what they are
often it is file that belongs to Adobe…
I was going to say exactly that ^. Updates to anything Adobe always seem to contain files Avast reports can’t be scanned.
No it wasn’t Adobe. I am sure of that. I close the screens after the scans so I don’t have any screen shots to show you. I’m wanting to say that the results were telling me it was Avast’s own updates that it couldn’t scan. I’ll pay more attention the next time it happens. I just know it’s happening much more often than in the past. And like I said it’s annoying.
the results were telling me it was Avast's own updates that it couldn't scanthen it was a ...files not found error .... reason, avast did a clean up in signature folder just before you scanned files not found error is usually gone after reboot
No sorry it wasn’t. It said file could not be scanned. But I have seen both messages before.
yes … and behind that it would say the reason why … and that was?
Not going to get into an arguing match with you. I told you what the message said. I also said how annoying they are. I only wish that Avast would give us an option to turn these useless error messages off. That’s it!
