some files could not be checked ?

Hello,

a curious situation: Avast free 2015 reports “some files could not be checked”, Status “archive is password protected”. The file is the following installaion source: K-Lite_Codec_Pack_620_Full.exe.

This installation file is part of the “MediaPlayer K-Lite\Media Player Classic” on my Win7/64 system, and it is from 2010: 5 years old. Avast (an AVG in the past) never had a problem with this file.

Why this message now?

nothing to worry abot, it is just a scan error message
when whatever program use/unpack and access those codec file(s) avast realtime scan will scan them
