Some files could not be scanned. Disk \\?\Volume......

Hello,

I’m hoping someone can shed some light on if this is good, bad, or ugly, and would need help resolving, placing in exclude settings, or find and remove?

Thanks much for the help!

Here are the two that give the warnings:

Disk \?\Volume{5ecf5f16-1fad-11e5-a2b8-806e6f6e6963?}{-}{-} Boot Record

and

Disk \?\Volume{5ecf5f17-1fad-11e5-a2b8-806e6f6e6963?}{-}{-} Boot Record

Other than that everything seems to be fine. This has been going on for maybe 6 months.

Again thanks for the help in fixing or understanding issue, have a great day!

Please (re)search before posting.
This is one of the many things that already have been explained.

Something to try, see here https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB178
scroll down to picture #2 … see at the bottom of that pic … Follow Links During Scan

If you remove tic for that setting, does that change anything?

I did (re)search, and from what I’ve seen there are a few posts and most are confusing, some have been told to used “combofix” and “Awmbr” and didn’t seem like it got fixed and very confusing like this post and the one below. I haven’t used any programs to “fix” or changed anything after looking at these; thus the reason I posted.

It would be nice for some compassion instead of “Please (re)search before posting”. You have no idea what I have searched and looked at, correct? Sounds like you have no idea to me, and just posted a statement you heard before instead of trying to really help.

By the way,
Not sure if you are a Vet or not. If you are, thank you very much for your service, sacrifice, and our freedom! Sir!

Pondus,

Thank you for the post.

I unchecked the “Follow Links During Scan”, but not sure which scan to perform in order to find if this fixed the problem or not. There are many options of scans and this one is done every Sunday morning at 1:00 am. Sorry, for my confusion and again thanks for your reply and help!

The scan you perform when you see this

Anyway, this is not a detection, just a scan error message

I’ll just change the time and date so it will run and not be next weekend. Thanks, will post results.

Changing date/time will not change the result.

Eddy, It is a sheduled scan where he see this scan result. He change time so we dont have to wait a week for next shedule and scan result
