Some files could not be scanned

What does it mean when I run a quick scan in AIS and the scanner says “Some files could not be scanned” and supplies a list of all the files. Is this a concern that they can’t be scanned or ? The files pertain to flashplayer and are located in C:\users\janice\AppData\local\Temp\install_flashplayer.

Can I delete these files or should I just let it go?

Cheers,
Janice

This is the single most asked question on the forums.
See this https://blog.avast.com/2014/02/28/how-do-i-handle-files-that-avast-cant-scan/

Well, one of them. ;D

C:\users\janice\AppData\local\Temp\install_flashplayer.
since located in a temp folder .... you may remove them if they annoy you. ;)

TFC cleaner. http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/files/file/187-tfc-temp-file-cleaner-by-oldtimer/

I used to have that problem, but disabling and enabling the shields and uninstall/reinstall seemed to do the trick. Mine said that the “files were password protected” and had some green thingy in it. They were located in the Temp. Folder, so doing manually also will do the trick!

I used to have that problem......
it is not a problem..... it is normal to have some files that can not be scanned for whatever reason it is just a scan error message and the reason why

No doubt! I should have checked the forum for this but alas I didn’t!

Yes they do annoy me no end. I thank you for this and I ran TFC cleaner so its all good now.

Thanks everyone for your responses.
