I have just started using Chrome with the Avast plugin and I have noticed that some links on certain web pages no longer work (they are fine if I disable the Avast plug-in). An example is the link for on the page xxx.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/tire-fix-heavy-duty-pressure-gauge-0095506p.html-xxx for reading customer reviews, with the plugin enabled nothing happens, with it off the reviews are shown. ???
I just tried this and it seems to block AddThis and Google +.
If you go to the avast! online security icon at the top right of the Chrome browser, you can unblock this globally (under settings) or on a per site basis.
If you allow tracking of Social networks the links seem to work.
How do you unblock on a per site basis I do not see anywhere in the settings for a URL entry ?
When you left click on the online security icon it shows the setting for the site. It shows, “this site is safe”.
Go there and unblock Social networks.
When you go to settings and turn blocking off, it is off for all sites.
I think figured out how this works, if the link does not seem to work you check that Avast setting for what is blocked and click on it to allow it for that session. Thanks for the response
