some real time shields turned off after program update (10.3.2225)

Hi there. I got program update notice on my Dell Windows XP desktop. I ran it (10.3.2225), but now I get a warning message in yellow in the Overview tab that states: "Attention. Some of your real time shields are turned off. I click on the Turn on link and nothing happens. I’m still able to run boot time scans etc. but I’m worried because the icon is yellow and not green. I do have the Avast backup disc from long ago, purchased when I re-upped my subscription. But I may not have saved the 16 0r 20 digit code to enter and reinstall Avast. What should I do?

Windows XP spk 2 or 3 ?
What Avast; Free, Pro, IS or Premier ?
Any other security program active ?

Repair Avast:

Start > Control panel > Add & Remove programs > select avast! and click " Change/Remove ". Highlight " Repair " and then Continue. When Avast finnishes the repair, reboot the system.
