Some Real Time shields turned off

I just down loaded and Installed Avast Free. Some Real Time Shields are turned off, but clicking on “Resolve all” or “Turn on” buttons do nothing. So how does one fix this ?

Did you remove previous used AV using vendors removal tool before installing avast?

Have you tried several reboots?

Have you tried avast repair? Controlpanel > ad / remove programs > avast > uninstall / change > repair option

Yes, Yes, and Yes. Although repairing a fresh install seems useless, I did so. Problem still persists.

If so i would try a clean install … use avast removal tool found at avast.com and uninstall, then reboot and reinstall
