In most cases, Chinese factories - where many companies have turned to keep prices low - are the source.
Don't let them kid you. It's not to keep prices low but rather, to keep profits high..... :o :o

All that and a free bonus for the consumer. >:(

Totally agree, most companies are more concerned with profit margins that giving the customer a good deal from the reduced manufacturing costs.

There were also a whole batch of external hard drives that were infected at the factory.
