Someone spamming Avast links Via E-mail

Just thought i’d let you know, someone’s sending out mass e-mails claiming to be from avast

This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software.
https://www.avast.com/antivirus"

And where do you see it be from avast?

The message at the bottom say scanned by avast.
Something evry avast user could activate in previous versions

uwec.edu may use avast endpoint and have that setting activated

They do not claim it is from avast.
It only says that the mail was checked by the avast mail shield.

You can contact the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire about the mail.

If I received this email, the last thing I would be worried about is the signature at the bottom. That can either be from a user of avast or faked to lull you into a false sense of security. More so if your aren’t enrolled/employed/connected to uwec.edu.

In any case I wouldn’t CLICK any link to confirm within that email. That could be leading you to an infected/malicious site. If you’re enrolled/employed/connected to uwec.edu then I would suggest you contact the system administrator IT Support by telephone to confirm the legitimacy of the email.
