Something trying hack my router or what is it?

Hello, if i want login to my router, login page says exceeded maximum attempts. But i didn’t tried login! There is no way someone hack my wifi because i have unbreakable password. Also Avast wifi inspector didn’t show any unknown device. So what is it? If i restart my router this message disappear but after some time is back. Thank you.

Reset the router to factory default and see if it solves the problem.

Today i have found this appear after i finish Smart scan or Wifi inspector. So that means Avast trying bruteforce my login and password?

So i let my PC run for many hours, no message appeared again until i ran smart scan. Immediately after smart scan, this message appeared. So don’t tell me is not caused by Avast.

The message is from avast, but avast is not trying to “brute force” anything.

Ofcourse avast only alerts for it after a scan.
This detection is not part of the real time protection.

If you are saying ‘Is avast trying to break into my router?’ the answer would certainly be no.

What avast is looking for are weak easily broken or deciphered passwords and this would require many attempts to guess. If avast finds such it will report such.

Hope this helps. Most routers do not report such activity so you are lucky there.
