Something VERY wrong - worm suspicion

I have a Toshiba “Special Anniversary Edition” laptop that’s about 3 yrs old and it runs Vista. A few days ago the following started:

  • keyboard just takes over and will type “00000’s” forever or the letter “e”.
  • Windows will open and close by themselves - sometimes will do with the touch of a keystroke but it’s never the same keystroke that sets it off nor does it take a keystroke to even start this behavior.
  • it looks like google chrome opens, then closes at any given time.
  • when working in imageready and/or dreamweaver, layers and slices move where ever they please - usually in a line though like the O’s and e’s - just keeps going.
  • the main menu bar off the taskbar will suddenly open up, then close, then open, etc.
  • Avast comes up with a warning that my system is unprotected. when I look, the option is unchecked that I want the program to monitor live. I’ve NEVER taken that option off yet something is de-selecting it.

I’ve run malware, spyware and Avast numerous times to see if it picks up any viruses or worms but the programs tell me my system is fine.

Does anyone know of this problem and if so, is there a fix?

No, I do not live in a haunted house. Any help would be much appreciated. THANK YOU!

( post the logs HERE and not in the guide )

To avoid using multiple post with copy and paste you have to attach the log`s
Lower left corner: Additional Options > Attach ( Malwarebytes log / OTS log ) save OTS log as ANSI

Essexboy will look at the logs when he arrive here …

Also have you tried using a USB keyboard ?

the only log I can find is through Avast and all it says is “Full system scan 8/7/2011 no virus found”. I try to view the details and there’s nothing there, just a blank screen.

I don’t have a USB keyboard anymore. I’m using the keyboard ON the laptop.

It might be worth trying that as this is not a normal malware symptom

Thank you SO much! I was just double-checking to see if I was losing my mind.
