Is it possible to run avast! without a skin? I chose custom installation and unchecked the skin-box but I seem to have a skin anyway and there’s no way to disable it. It’d be superb if all parts of this excellent app could use windows own “skin”.
Thanks in advance!

Start Avast > Menu > Setings > Common > uncheck “enables skins for simple user interface” > Close Avast > Start Avast again.
That’s all you have to do.

I don’t have that option. I use avast! 4.1
This is what the Common-screen says:
Test memory during application start-up
Check floppy disks…
Check CDs in drive…
Check other removable media…
Enable skins for Explorer Extension (wich, by the way, is unchecked)
Exit Explorer Extension when first virus found
Show results of Explorer Extension

Wait for avast! 4.5 Final. Or start using avast! 4.5 beta.
This new version features skinless interface.
