SPAM filter problems after latest update

I’ve been using Avast Internet Security alongside MS Outlook 2010-2013 for years without any problems. I would occasionally get false positives for spam (Avast inserts “SPAM” before the subject in an email), but I would just click the “Whitelist” button in Outlook’s Avast Antispam pane and that would take care of known FPs. Now I see my spam folder is filled with the same false positives again – like business receipts and communication from Amazon, eBay, PayPal, Dell, Newegg, my bank, and dozens of other sources I’ve white-listed long ago.

How can these emails have been getting to my inbox all this time without issue until today, when now all these trusted sources are erroneously marked as SPAM by Avast? Has the “sensitivity” of the spam filter been adjusted with the update? Has the whitelist itself been corrupted or deleted? How can I check Avast’s Antispam whitelist?

Thanks for any assistance.

It did the same thing again today. I have white-listed a bunch of domains that are still being flagged by Avast as SPAM in Outlook. I have turned the sensitivity of the spam filter down to it’s lowest setting. Why won’t Avast remember when I tell it something is not spam? It used to do this without problems.

Remember that yesterdays safe site can be today’s infected site.
I’ve also alerted Avast to take a look at your post.
