SPAM Filtering With MS Exchange Connection

Is there some magic trick to getting Avast SPAM filtering to scan my MS Exchange account? It works fine on my notebook PC but my desktop will not scan and filter from my desktop connection.

Stats: MS Outlook 2007 connecting to MS Exchange via LAN connection
