must be a virus, thing would not let me remove it, had to manually remove the registry keys, just a heads up for the avast team to work on this one
avast tried to remove it but failed over and over till i did it myself
Spigot is not a virus but a PUP … Possible Unwanted Program
Try remove it with AdwCleaner and Malwarebytes http://malwaretips.com/blogs/searchsettings-exe-removal/
If no success report back and you will get help tomorrow
