That’s another one. Another software! Since november 2007, on Vista, every Wednesday when I update, the immunization blocks at the file hosts. I found a turn around solution on their forum and it works. Uncheck all those who updated. Only the hosts file is checked. Then click “CANCEL”:all your immunization for the hosts file is zero, you’re totally unprotected!!! Then, click “IMMUNIZE”, you should be fully protected by now. This is awkward but due to our new OS:VISTA… AMEN! :-X
Meanwhile life goes on and Bill Gates retires from Microsoft… That’s not auspicious for Windows Vista. End of the commentary! :
I’m not sure i follow you, what does Bill Gates have to do with Spybot S&D ?
I’m not following you two… I use Spybot immunization but never have a problem updating Vista… :
Hello Tech, yes Spybot works OK on my vista rig as well(it does need quite awhile to start though), i just don’t understand what gdiloren was trying to say with his first post.
Neither do I…
Well I thought there it has something to do with Vista, but there must be a setting in some protection software (SpySweeper, SpywareTerminator etc…) that shouldn’t be checked. I posted to know if I’m the only one to have these updating problems. It happened also today with SpywareBlaster which update was too slow. Sorry for the confusion guys…!!! :-X
I just don’t have SpySweeper. The others, including Vista, are updating ok.
