Spybot Search and Destroy Resident Shield blocked Avast! Scanner console

Hi, I was trying to start up Avast! Scanner console this morning, so I could run a quick scan. It wouldn’t start up, so I was curious if Spybot S&D Resident Shield had anything to do with it, so I shut it down. I then tried starting up Avast! again, and the console came up. Now Avast! was running in the system tray this whole time, and I was able to rick click a file to scan with Avast!, it was just the console that couldn’t come up. I ran a few searches via Goggle, and I haven’t seen this problem listed.
Thanks.

Never heard from it before… I haven’t thought that TeaTimer could block avast skin to load… ???

I haven’t heard of this before either, if it worked later I would put it down to a hiccup and not something to be too concerned about unless it becomes a regular occurrence.

We have heard of tea-timer killing the avast system tray icon because it blocked the user startup entry for it, but nothing like you experienced.

I’m sure the Spybot people at the Safernetworking forum would appreciate being able to look into this

I’ve used Avast & Spybot for years and never had that happen.

I suggest it must have been some kind of fluke.
