I heard that Avast Home also offers some spyware protection. I searched the forum, but I couldn’t find an answer. Thanks.
avast has signature detection for spyware and adware, usually trojans, etc. Whilst avast isn’t a specialist anti-spyware in that it isn’t looking for registry entries that might indicate spyware, etc. It is advised not to have all your eggs in one basket (or one security application).
So you can add a specialist anti-spyware to give a multi-level/application approach to your security. Combining these different tools should also improve overall detections.
If you haven’t already got this software (freeware) choose one, download, install, update and run it periodically.
