does anyone out there use a spyware program such as spyware doctor that does not interfere with the antivirus. i have completely removed all symantec and mcafee programs because they all create havoc with the spyware programs. how does avast compare?

real nice one i use and it’s free…just don’t use the ClamAV when it asks you to install it…since you have avast!already(i guess)if you don’t have avast! on your computer…download the home edition…i’ve have avast! on my computer for over 4 years now and i won’t have anything else…you won’t be disappointed :o

IMHO, there isn't a thing wrong with Windows Defender. :)

Ad-aware alone is not enough(especialy the free version as it offers no real time protection) … Also download SpywareBlaster and Spybot S&D and switch to a safer browser(Firefox, Flock and Opera are very good).

I also use Spyware Terminator :wink:

ria…another one to use and it’s free is spyware blaster(as M2 mentioned above)been around for a long time and its not a scanner,it works in the background :smiley:
