Standard Shield vs. Web Shield

I fully understand how Web Shield works and why it is useful.
I fully understand that Standard Shield on avast! Home does not scan archives.

Let us assume that I am only running Standard Shield at the moment.

Let us assume that yesterday while running Web Shield (before disabling it today) that Web Shield worked wonderfully and blocked 50 viruses from even getting to my hard drive. Perfect.

Let us assume that today (after disabling Web Shield) that I visited those same web sites with the Standard Shield provider on the High setting.

Let us assume that none of those 50 viruses are within archives.

Would the Standard Shield provider detect those 50 viruses just as Web Shield did the previous day?

If not, would that mean that Web Shield scans certain file-types more thoroughly (keep in mind none of these are archives) then Standard Shield?

Thanks,
Dave

It depends whether those files are cached on disk or executed directly in browser (thats why they also created Web Shield).
